Zurich: Zalando becomes tenant in Prime Tower
Zalando wants to set up a technology centre in Zurich's Prime Tower to drive forward the development of virtual changing rooms.

In addition to Helsinki and Dublin, Zurich will become another Zalando hub worldwide that is dedicated to new technologies. According to a report by 20 minutes the German fashion retailer is planning a technology center in Zurich's Prime Tower: On two floors - specifically on the 23rd floor and half of the seventh floor - over 150 employees will work in the future on 1,700 sqm. JLL exclusively advised Zalando on the relocation.
Last year, Zalando acquired the ETH spin-off Fision, which focuses on technologies for creating virtual 3D models of bodies and clothing. Based on this technology, employees at Zalando's Zurich tech hub will work on a virtual fitting room that will help customers choose the right size. One of the aims is to reduce the high number of returns and also CO2 emissions. (bw)
