The internationally active technology company Integra Biosciences wants to expand its headquarters in Zizers. The existing building in the Tardisland industrial area, which is located directly next to the Landquart Fashion Outlet, is to be expanded into a 30,000 sqm campus at a cost of around CHF 100 million. 250 new jobs will be created, and a total of 400 people will work at the new headquarters in the future.

A production hall is planned in the extension, where state-of-the-art injection moulding equipment will produce around 40 different types of pipette tips. A fully automated high-bay warehouse will be set up for finished products and consumables. At the same time, the new campus will serve as a center for innovation and will consist of open and closed work areas with offices, coworking zones and public spaces for engineering, marketing, IT and administration. A scientific test lab and restaurant are also planned. Groundbreaking for the new campus took place on November 1, 2021. The first construction phase will be completed in 2023, the second in 2028.

A photovoltaic system on the roof and a heat pump for heating and cooling will ensure energy-efficient and environmentally friendly operation of the building. Charging stations for electric cars will also be available. (ua/ah)
