Allschwil: Vebego becomes tenant in Alba Haus
The Alba Haus on the BaseLink site in Allschwil will be the new headquarters of Vebego subsidiary Move Consultants and the location of Vebego's Northwestern Switzerland branch.

Vebego Schweiz Holding will not only be a tenant in the Alba Haus, but will also be responsible for facility management in the sustainable office building. A contract to this effect was signed on 10 November 2021, the company announced. 50 Move and Vebego Basel employees will move into the Alba Haus.
The Alba Haus is intended to be a beacon on the BaseLink site; the 40-meter-high building was designed by the renowned Basel architectural firm Herzog & de Meuron. On the ground floor, the "Alba Hall" is to become a meeting place for users, with restaurants, daycare centers, a doctor's practice, a physiotherapy practice and a pharmacy, among other things. Sports facilities and golf will be available opposite. Green spaces, paths and squares will be created directly on the site, and the new 30-hectare Parc des Carrières is being built right next door.
In total, the BaseLink site in Allschwil covers around 75,000 sqm. When completed, up to 10,000 new jobs will be created there in the areas of research, development, production, services and trade. The Swiss Tropical Institute will be located here, as will research teams from the University of Basel and ETH Zurich, start-ups and established companies. Vebego adds that it will be responsible for facility management at BaseLink, which is an enormously important and complex task. (ah)
