Aargau: Fortimo buys Steiner residential project Widacher
Fortimo Invest acquires the Widacher project in Fischbach-Göslikon from the real estate developer Steiner. A total of 165 residential units will be built in three stages.

Fortimo plans to begin construction of the first phase, which has already received planning permission, next year. This comprises 16 terraced single-family houses and 42 apartments to the Minergie standard. The apartments will be distributed among three new apartment buildings and two listed buildings.
According to Steiner AG, the reason for the sale is a portfolio adjustment. For this reason, the decision was made to sell the partially approved site development before the execution phase.
The Widacher development is being built on a former industrial site in the Aargau municipality of Fischbach-Göslikon near Zurich. Existing listed buildings such as the barn and the old post office have been integrated into the project and will now be revitalized for residential and community purposes. The overall project consists of three stages and will comprise 165 residential units in ten apartment buildings and 46 terraced single-family houses when completed. It will be completed in the next few years; construction on the first stage is expected to start in summer 2022. (ah)
