According to the fund management company Pensimo, the plot acquired by the Swissinvest Real Estate Fund is located north of the centre of Lausanne at the foot of the Parc de Sauvabelin recreational area. It is slightly set back from the main road and faces southwest.

A building project has already been approved for the site: The existing commercial property will be demolished and replaced by two apartment buildings to the Minergie standard with 51 apartments and a shared parking garage with 38 parking spaces.

According to Pensimo, the apartment mix is geared towards small households. The target rent on completion is around CHF 1.2 million. The expected investment costs are put at 44 million. Construction is scheduled to begin in spring 2022, and the apartments are expected to be ready for occupancy in early 2024. (ah)
