Berne: Galenica sells headquarters to CS fund
The Galenica Group has sold its headquarters in Berne to a Credit Suisse real estate fund and leased it back on a long-term basis.

As the healthcare provider Galenica writes in an ad hoc release, a real estate fund of Credit Suisse Asset Management has purchased the company's headquarters at Untermattweg 8 in Berne for around CHF 40 million.
The building is now 54 years old, no longer meets today's building and usage requirements and needs to be renovated. For this reason, Galenica decided to sell the building. The new owner will completely renovate the building from 2024 and modernise it to new building standards. The work should be completed by 2027. Galenica says it intends to remain a long-term tenant at the headquarters. (ah)
