See Energie AG would like to supply parts of Steinach and the west of Horn with environmentally friendly energy - a goal shared by the St. Gallen-based real estate developer Mettler2Invest AG (M2I). M2I acquired the former Raduner site in Horn from Eberhard Bau AG in January 2021; the properties between Lake Constance and Seestrasse are the two parcels No. 3 and 12 with a total area of 32,462 sqm. The residential and commercial development "Arrivée" is to be built here in stages.
In mid-January, M2I plans to present the winning project of the study contract for the superstructure. Ideally, construction work could begin in the fall of 2023, the company says. The first stage would then be ready for occupancy from the fall of 2025.
The development with over 200 apartments is to be supplied with environmentally friendly energy from Lake Constance. For this purpose, Mettler2Invest has received the commitment of See Energie AG in December 2021. The definitive contract will be signed as soon as the building permit for the "Arrivée" development has been issued, the company says.
The St. Galler Tagblatt quotes Thomas Fehr, president of the municipality of Horn, as saying that by using the natural energy potential of Lake Constance, the Arrivée superstructure could save around 2,400 tons of CO2. "This is an excellent contribution to climate protection and therefore very positive for the municipality of Horn."
The site, in a prime location directly on the lake, is considered unique and exclusive, and the view is magnificent. Horn is one of the most tax-efficient communities in the canton of Thurgau and is very easy to reach by train, post bus and boat. The A1 freeway access road can also be reached in about two minutes by car. (bw)
