Winning project for M2I development in Horn has been selected
Mettler2Invest wants to redevelop the former Raduner site in Horn, which is located directly on Lake Constance. The winning project envisages around 240 apartments in nine buildings.

Mettler2Invest is planning a major project on the shores of Lake Constance: apartments and commercial premises are to be built in stages on the 32,462 sqm site between the lake and Seestrasse in Horn (TG). A residential share of 90% is planned.
The project "ma maison au bord du lac" by Carlos Martinez Architects and Parbat Landscape Architecture won the study commission and prevailed against six competitors. It envisages five buildings with condominiums facing the lake, while four buildings with rental apartments are planned facing the street. The buildings will have four floors plus a parapet floor and offer a total of 230 to 240 apartments (2.5 to 5.5 rooms). 60% of the apartments are to be sold as condominiums, the rest are rental apartments.
According to the plans, a square point building in the west of the site will house the commercial uses. According to the project idea, the nine residential buildings will be a neighborhood building block between this new commercial and service center and the small-scale residential zone to the east. The development will also include an underground garage with 420 parking spaces.
"In its sympathetic conclusiveness, the study article is almost reminiscent of the advertising slogan of a German chocolate: Quadratisch. Practical. Good," was the verdict of the expert jury. The project offers "many good individual ideas that combine to form a clever, flexible and convincing whole."
The winning team is to continue working on its project study until the spring; it will serve as a guideline project for the development of the design plan. This is to be published at the end of 2022. According to Mettler2Invest, construction work could ideally begin in the fall of 2023. The first stage of the "Arrivée" residential and commercial development would then be ready for occupation from the fall of 2025. (ah)
