According to Warteck Invest, Coop Genossenschaft is renting the entire 666 sqm first floor space in the new building at Münchensteinerstrasse 117/Walkeweg 1 in Basel. A Coop supermarket and a health center with a walk-in practice and attached pharmacy are to be set up. There is potential for further outpatient medical services on the upper floors, which can be easily subdivided, Warteck Invest said.

The twelve-story new Syd building has a total gross floor area of around 10,000 sqm. In addition to the first floor area, which has already been let, around 2,800 sqm of office and retail space and 48 town apartments are being built. In addition, there is an underground parking garage with 50 parking spaces. The building is surrounded by the new Irène-Zurkinden-Platz.

The building will be certified with the Gold Standard of the SGNI/DGNB sustainability label and is scheduled for completion in January 2023. (ah)
