The area between Uttigenstrasse 21 and Franzosenweg in Thun is to be transformed into an attractive residential and working quarter over the next few years, according to plans by Ruag Real Estate. The Tryber project will create a new, mixed and sustainable quarter with a wide variety of uses, says Matthias Hauswirth, Managing Director of Ruag Real Estate.

In developing the 110,000-square-meter former industrial site, the real estate company wants to proceed step by step and gradually transform the area with pop-ups, interim uses, castles or co-working spaces by 2032. With a broad mix of uses including "living, working, leisure, recreation and enjoyment," Ruag Real Estate wants to appeal to a mixed target group. The area is to become a new lively neighborhood in a prime location in Thun, Hauswirth continues. From 2032, the area will be connected to public transport with the Thun-Nord S-Bahn stop. (ah)
