Swiss Casinos rents at Campfield in Oftringen
Swiss Casinos plans to operate a casino in the Campfield multicomplex in Oftringen from 2025. The lease agreement has been signed.
The Campfield Oftringen comprises office and commercial space, a business hotel, various restaurants - and in future also a casino operated by Swiss Casinos. For this purpose, the company has leased an area of 3,000 sqm in the property from Saunier Group Holding, representative of the owners and project developer of the property.
The building complex is conveniently located near the A1 and A2 freeways and has 300 parking spaces. In addition, public transport stops are within short walking distance. According to Swiss Casinos, Oftringen has a catchment area of more than 100,000 people and, with an annual population growth of 2%, is considered one of the up-and-coming communities in the Mittelland region.
The new casino is scheduled to open in early 2025, subject to the award of a concession by the Federal Council. The decision is expected in October 2023. (ah)
