Logis Suisse builds residential complex in Aarau
The energy supplier Eniwa is handing over a site on the banks of the River Aare to Logis Suisse under building rights. A sustainable residential development is to be built there.
The Eniwa site between Erlinsbacherstrasse and the power plant canal in Aarau is to be redeveloped. The project competition was won by a team consisting of Logis Suisse, Duplex Architekten and Lorenz Eugster Landschaftsarchitektur und Städtebau. It plans to build a sustainable, architecturally sophisticated residential complex with around 65 rental apartments there, probably starting in 2024. Eniwa is making the 1.1-hectare site on the banks of the Aare available under building rights.
In addition to energy and resource-saving considerations, affordable housing was a very important criterion in the competition, said Hans-Kaspar Scherrer, CEO of Eniwa AG. (ah)
