With the opening of the new country office, the ZIA is taking account of the increasing internationalization of the German real estate industry and enabling its members to exchange ideas and network within the industry as well as with representatives from politics, business and society, the association says. Matthias Klein, Managing Director Corporate & External Affairs & CEO Europe at ThomasLloyd Group, will be the spokesman for the Swiss country office.

"In recent years, real estate companies in Germany have been intensifying their international contacts, learning from best practices abroad and expanding their field of business beyond Germany's borders," explains ZIA President Dr. Andreas Mattner. "Therefore, it is also important for the ZIA as the leading association of the real estate industry to accompany this development more closely, to integrate it into its work within the framework of ZIA country offices and thus to drive the growth of the association."

The grand opening of the new office will take place on the evening of June 27, 2022, with the kick-off event for the ZIA Dialog Switzerland at the Widder Hotel in Zurich, where representatives from the industry and politics will discuss the topic "Climate policy challenges of the real estate industry in times of geopolitical uncertainties." "The Swiss office is thus kicking off a direct transnational exchange through networking events," says Klein. "The ZIA is once again putting the focus on the European significance of the real estate industry." (ah)
