PAT-BVG can build over the Meinen site
The Pension Fund of Physicians and Veterinarians (PAT-BVG) has received the building permit for its superstructure on the Meinen site in Bern.
The Physicians' and Veterinarians' Pension Fund (PAT-BVG) wants to build a residential and commercial development on the former Meinen-AG site in the Mattenhof district. The green light has now been given for this; the building permit has now been issued.
According to the client, the preparatory work is already underway, as is the tender for the general contractor. The actual demolition work is scheduled to start in winter 2022/23.
In two building complexes north and south of Schwarztorstrasse, a total of over 180 apartments with 1.5 to 5.5 rooms as well as 2,500 square meters of commercial space are being built. One third of the living space is reserved for affordable housing. In the Meinen Nord section of the site, north of Schwarztorstrasse, a perimeter block development with three building sections is planned. While service and commercial space is planned for the first floor of the head building, residential space is planned for the second floor and above.
To the south of Schwarztorstrasse (Meinen Süd), a stepped building complex will be constructed, with nine stories facing Schwarztorstrasse and four stories facing Mattenhofstrasse. Here, too, there will be service and commercial space on the first floor and apartments from the second floor. (ah)
