Superstructure near the train station in Delémont is opened
Swiss Post has officially inaugurated two new buildings on the station site in Delémont. The new buildings include commercial and office space, residential accommodation and a hotel.

The two new Swiss Post buildings have been developed and realized by Losinger Marazzi, with building design by architects Kaiser & Wittwer, Comamala Ismail and Voisard Architectes from Malleray, Delémont and Porrentruy. According to Post Immobilien, the development fits into the new concept for the station area and the emerging pedestrian zone.
The two buildings cover a total area of 25,000 square meters and replace the former post office building, which has been completely demolished. The new buildings house 89 apartments, commercial space, offices, a post office branch, a four-star hotel with 44 rooms and a parking garage with 170 spaces. The project is Minergie-certified, 1,200 square meters of solar panels are installed on the roofs and heating is provided by a pellet heating system. According to Post Immobilien, the investment in the project amounts to CHF 77 million.
Construction started in the fall of 2019, and the official opening of the superstructure was celebrated on June 15, 2022. (ah)
