Foundation stone laid for new quarter near Lausanne
The Horizons Dorigny district is being built in Chavannes-près-Renens, where 3,000 people will live and work in the long term. The foundation stone for the major project has now been laid.

The new district on the outskirts of Lausanne consists of eight building complexes with a total of almost 900 apartments, including 200 condominiums, 46 shopping arcades and a good 12,500 square meters of office space. The project also includes a 55,000 square meter green pedestrian zone and a park. At some point, a good 3,000 people are expected to live and work in the new quarter. It is located at the entrance to the municipality of Chavannes-près-Renens, close to UNIL and EPFL and not far from Lake Geneva.
The developer of construction sites A, B and D is Credit Suisse Anlagesiftung with the investment group CSA Real Estate Switzerland. Demaurex & Cie. is responsible for construction site C. As general contractor, HRS is realizing construction sites B and D as well as construction site E, which includes a park.
The first residents are expected to move in by 2024. (ah)
