Basel: Roche opens Switzerland's tallest building
Pharmaceutical company Roche announces the inauguration of its new high-rise building in Basel and reports progress on further site development, which will cost CHF 1.2 billion.

Roche's second office tower in Basel ("Bau 2") cost 550 million CHF and, at 205 m high, sets a new Swiss record. The building enables Roche to bring together employees from different locations in the city of Basel at its central office site. The tower houses a total of 3,200 workplaces on 50 floors with a gross floor area of 83,000 sqm.
According to Roche, the further development of the site is proceeding according to plan, and the new research and development center is expected to open in the fall of 2024. Roche is investing CHF 1.2 billion for this purpose. (aw)
