Start of construction for residential project in Givrins
In Givrins, the foundation stone has been laid for a project with 24 apartments and a care facility for school children.
On September 8, the foundation stone was laid for a project with 24 apartments and a care unit for school children in Givrins, near Nyon in the canton of Vaud. The Equitim Foundation and Fundim, as the developer, are responsible for the project.
The foundation's mission is to build and subsequently manage apartments at affordable rents for the middle class in partnership with public corporations or private land owners. The partnership is based on the following principle: the Foundation takes over the land from the owners by means of an independent and permanent building lease and finances the construction of the apartments, of which it remains the owner. On May 9, 2022, the corresponding deed was signed between the Foundation and the Municipality, and the construction works started the next day.
The project envisages four buildings, each with six residential units. The care facility with an area of approximately 350 sqm will also house a school canteen. An underground garage with 22 parking spaces will complete the project. Outside, 21 parking spaces will also be created. (md)
