Basel: UBS sells an office building to the city
The canton of Basel-Stadt is buying an office property on Gartenstrasse from UBS. The property is currently rented out.
UBS sells the property at Gartenstrasse 9 to the Municipality of the City of Basel. The purchase agreement has been approved by the government council. According to the government council, the current users will remain in the property as tenants for the next few years. The inner-city property with its modern, coherent office space is interesting for companies on the one hand, and on the other hand it could also be considered as a location for the cantonal administration in the medium term.
The government council did not provide any information on the purchase price. In addition to UBS, the users of the property are the Roche pharmaceutical group, which operates "Bau 690" as a branch office there. (ah)
