Avadis Investment Foundation has acquired the property Chemin de Brillancourt 4 in Lausanne for its investment group "Real Estate Switzerland Business". The seller is Philip Morris International; no details were given on the purchase price.

The property is a commercial building in the Sous-Gare/Ouchy district, located between the train station and the lake. It has a modern standard of construction and offers a rental area of 7,500 sqm on nine floors, which can be used flexibly, says Avadis. Since the recent departure of the previous main tenant, a large part of the vacant space has already been re-let.

"The successful start to the reletting process demonstrates the high quality of the property and the space it offers. However, we also see long-term development and value enhancement potential. With the purchase, we can further expand our already strong market position in Western Switzerland," says Dr. Claudia Emele, Managing Director of Avadis Investment Foundations. (ah)
