Allreal is realizing a high-rise building with rental apartments and commercial space at Badenerstrasse 501-505 in Zurich Altstetten. The real estate company has owned the 1,700-square-meter site directly next to the Letzigrund Stadium since 2020. It intends to replace the aging existing property with a new building.

The study competition was won by the project of Michael Meier and Marius Hug Architekten from Zurich. It envisages a 40-meter-high high-rise building with 64 rental apartments (2.5 to 4.5 rooms) on the upper floors and commercial space on the first floor. A large terrace is planned on the roof of the property. According to Allreal, the building will not have an underground garage. It is being deliberately omitted because of its inner-city location, which is ideally served by public transport. A large photovoltaic system will ensure that the building is completely CO2-neutral.

Allreal expects construction to begin in 2025, with the high-rise building expected to be completed two years later. The investment volume is over CHF 70 million. (ah)
