Rheinfelden: Station area to be developed
Rheinfelden's "New Center" is being built on a total of three sites around the train station. One of the landowners is the real estate company Realstone. It has already drawn up an indicative project.
The city of Rheinfelden (AG) wants to transform its railroad station area into a "New Center". Three areas will be developed by the owners independently and with their own focal points, according to the city. Three design plans are currently being drawn up for this purpose.
The real estate company Realstone, as one of the landowners, is developing the Bahnhofsaal design plan, which, according to the city, is the most advanced. Together with the office Nissen Wentzlaff Architekten, an indicative project with apartments and semi-public spaces on the first floors has been developed. This planning also includes the historic Bahnhofsaal, according to the city of Rheinfelden.
The station hall design plan will be presented to the public on January 9, 2023, and then open for public input until February 8. (ah)
