Oerlikon and Hiag conclude development agreement
Oerlikon becomes the first tenant on the Reichhold Campus in Hausen/Lupfig. Hiag is building a production center and an office building for the company.
Hiag and the technology company Oerlikon have signed a development agreement. Hiag will implement a project for Oerlikon on the 75,000 sqm Reichhold campus, half of which is located on land owned by the municipalities of Hausen and Lupfig: According to a statement, the real estate company will realize a production and distribution center as well as an office building on a floor space of 14,500 sqm, which Oerlikon will lease on a long-term basis. The lease agreement is an integral part of the development agreement and will come into force once the legally binding building permit is available, Hiag says. From today's perspective, Oerlikon would be one of the real estate company's five largest tenants.
Oerlikon wants to merge the Wohlen, Dottikon and Winterthur sites on the Reichhold Campus at the Birrfeld freeway junction, bringing together around 230 production and office workplaces. This makes Oerlikon "an ideal first tenant on the Reichhold Campus," says Hiag CEO Marco Feusi. He is convinced that the move will attract the attention of other companies to the site.
According to Hiag, the building application is scheduled for the third quarter of 2023, with construction expected to start in spring 2024. The site should be ready for occupancy from mid-2025. (ah)
