St. Gallen-based real estate developer Mettler2Invest says it submitted the building application for the first stage of the Perron Vert development on the former cidery site near the train station in Egnach (TG) at the end of November 2022. This sets the course for the start of construction in summer 2023, the company said.

A staggered development in two stages with a total of eleven buildings is planned. Eight houses will be newly built and three existing buildings will be renovated, including the historic cidery building.

According to Mettler2Invest, 144 apartments (rental and condominium), 17 apartments for the elderly as well as office and commercial space will be built. Furthermore, recreational and surrounding areas as well as a parking garage are planned. A diverse mix of uses has been deliberately chosen to revitalize the central square in Egnach - as desired by the community.

According to current planning, construction of the first stage can begin in the summer, so that the first apartments will be ready for occupancy in the fall of 2025. The sale of the condominiums is scheduled to begin in spring 2023.

The project is being developed by Mettler2Invest, the Abendrot Foundation and two other investors who have not been named. (ah)
