Köniz: Next stage of the Papillon quarter is approved
The Feuerfalter development will create 240 new apartments in the Niederwangen district of Köniz. The developers are Mobimo, Lycaena and Logis Suisse.
In Niederwangen, a district of Köniz (BE), the first plus-energy district in the canton of Bern is being built on site F of the Papillon quarter. According to the municipality, the building permit was issued at the end of 2022. The apartments should be ready for occupancy in the fall of 2025.
According to the municipality's announcement, six buildings with a total of 240 apartments are planned: 64 condominiums under building law, 22 rental apartments and 154 non-profit rental apartments. Home office modules, neighborhood and community spaces, as well as a day school and a daycare center are planned for the first floor, it said. The buildings meet the requirements for a certified 2,000-watt site and also those for a plus-energy district, it adds.
The developers of the development are Mobimo, Lycaena and Logis Suisse. Mobimo Management is in charge of project development.
The Feuerfalter is one of eight construction sites in the Papillon Quarter. A good 1,000 apartments for 2,000 people will be built there by 2028. (ah)
