Arlesheim: SF Urban Properties completes roll mill site

SF Urban Properties AG has bought a plot of land on Industriestrasse in Arlesheim (BL) from BLT Baselland Transport AG. The 10,313 sqm plot is located directly next to the rolling mill site, which has already been owned by the real estate company since 2017.

According to SF Urban Properties, of the total area, just under 5,640 sqm is in the commercial zone, the rest is agricultural zone. The property will be leased from BLT until the end of September and will initially serve SF Urban Properties AG as a strategic land reserve. The portion of building land will probably be used temporarily as a parking lot.

SF Urban Properties purchased the 40,000-square-meter rolling mill site, which was formerly home to an aluminum factory, in 2017 to develop it further with conversions, renovations and new buildings. Currently, 90 tenants with a total of 300 to 400 employees have settled on the site. The rolling mill is located on the municipal territory of Münchenstein and Arlesheim and is about three kilometers from the Basel city limits. (ah)
