Halter AG has acquired the Schützengütli site in Bischofszell (TG) with two areas of around 6,500 and 1,000 sqm as early as February 2022, according to its own information. After the revised building and zoning plan of the city of Bischofszell came into force, which allows residential use with a design plan obligation on the site, the transfer of ownership has now also taken place as of the beginning of March this year.

Halter wants to develop a high-quality site development in a two-stage study contract, the company says. According to the real estate company, around 50 condominiums are planned, for which the existing buildings will have to be demolished except for individual elements. Halter Entwicklungen has already initiated the study contract procedure, which will start this spring.

"With this site development in an intact neighborhood, we will create attractive living space in a very well connected location right next to the train station," says Rolf Zäch, project manager at Halter Entwicklungen.

The Schützengütli site served the Schiffli embroidery factory from 1907 and later the glass rectifier construction. In 1946, it became the property of the Laumann & Co. malt factory and fruit pressing plant, which produced essences and syrups there for a long time. (ah)
