Basel: Second Icity location with coworking for biotech
A complex with 10,000 sqm for biotech startups is opening in Reinach (BL) this summer. The owner of the property is the UBS fund Sima.
At the new location in the Kägen industrial and commercial area (Reinach, BL), the Innovation City (Icity) association provides managed lab space for young biotech companies. On the third floor of "Icity Reinach" at Neuhofstrasse 11, 2,800 sqm of "Flex Labs" will be created, and on the second floor 700 sqm of fully equipped "Shared Labs". In addition, two more floors will offer coworking spaces for biotech startups. The opening is scheduled to take place in August.
The first Icity location is also in the booming biotech region of Basel, in Allschwil. It will also open in the summer. (aw)
