The city of Zurich is giving away the plot on Heidi-Abel-Weg under building rights. The development is being built in the immediate vicinity of the SRF Leutschenbach high-rise. In addition to Lieichtig Graf Zumsteg, Berchtold Lenzin Landscape Architects from Zurich, DSP Ingenieure+Planer AG and Abicht Zug AG are also involved in the designs of the "Le Petit Prince" project, which prevailed among the 43 anonymously submitted entries. The building will be a fanned-out solitary structure with three entrances, communal facilities on the first floor, and photovoltaic elements on roofs and facades.

Completion of the preliminary project for the "Heidi Abel" housing estate is expected in early 2025. After that, the building lease agreement must be approved by the municipal council. The first tenants will be able to move in in 2028 at the earliest. With the construction of the Heidi Abel settlement, the SAW portfolio will comprise 35 settlements. (aw)
