A large residential superstructure is planned in the municipality of Kirchberg (SG): Cadina AG, which acquired the 10,000-square-meter site in 2018, wants to build a residential development. Initially, the Rosenau site was home to the Tertianum Rosenau retirement and nursing home, but this moved to Bazenheid in mid-2020. Subsequently, a refugee center was operated there.

The preliminary project by the architectural firm Baumschlager Eberle envisages a superstructure with 84 residential units: 24 condominiums and 60 rental apartments. The project also includes 96 underground parking spaces plus nine visitor parking spaces outside. Villa Rosenau, which is classified as worthy of preservation, will be integrated into the project.

The participation procedure will run until the end of April. The owners expect the building permit in two years. The first apartments should be ready for occupancy in 2027. (ah)
