Schöftland: SFP fund plans center development
A new residential and commercial building is to be built on Dorfstrasse in Schöftland (AG). The SF Retail Properties Fund is realizing the project together with Kim Strebel Architekten.
A new residential and commercial building is to be built on a plot of land on Dorfstrasse in Schöftland, where there is currently a single-storey Coop and the derelict site of the former Haltestelle restaurant.
The Coop will increase its sales area in the new development and a two-storey parking lot will be built underneath the store. Three residential buildings with a total of 36 residential units will be built above the first floor. A roof garden is planned on the roof of the Coop as a shared outdoor area for the residential buildings.
To ensure that the Coop can remain in operation during the construction period, the development will be realized in two stages. In the first stage, the northern section with two residential buildings will be built from spring 2024. In the second stage, the existing building will be demolished and then the southern section with the third residential building will be constructed. During this time, the Coop will operate provisionally on the first floor of the new building. The definitive store concept for the entire first floor will go into operation after completion of the second stage. Completion is planned for fall 2027. According to Swiss Finance & Property Funds, the project will cost around CHF 28 million. (ah)
