Basel: Sandoz rents in the "Elsässer Tor"
The pharmaceutical company Sandoz is renting 3,200 square meters in the "Elsässer Tor" office building in Basel. SPGI Zurich AG was commissioned with the search for a new headquarters in the city.
The Elsässertor office complex at Basel SBB station was designed by Basel architects Herzog & de Meuron. The five-storey building offers a total of 14,000 square meters of office space. Sandoz's lease begins in October 2023.
The generics specialist Sandoz is a subgroup of Novartis and employs over 20,000 people worldwide. With the planned spin-off of the Sandoz division from Novartis, a new global headquarters had to be found. SPGI was commissioned with the location search, evaluation and negotiation of the lease agreement. (aw)
