Uster: Swisscanto fund plans new housing estate
Swisscanto REF Responsible IFCA has received the building permit for the Ambra residential estate. The new building replaces an outdated development.
In Uster (ZH), the existing residential estate at Gschwaderstrasse 40/Ifangweg 2-8, built in 1962, is being replaced by the new Ambra estate. The legally binding building permit was granted in March 2023 without an appeal, writes Zürcher Kantonalbank in its real estate newsletter. Construction is scheduled to start in spring 2024, with completion planned for 2027.
The old development with 69 apartments was in poor condition and no longer met today's standards, the report continues. The Swisscanto REF Responsible IFCA real estate fund is now building the new Ambra residential estate, consisting of four residential buildings with a total of 94 rental apartments (1.5 to 5.5 rooms). The apartments will be offered to various target groups in the medium rental price segment.
The new development will be built sustainably and operated as CO2-neutrally as possible. It will be equipped with a photovoltaic system, electric charging stations and an air heat pump. (ah)
