Basel: Migros moves into new replacement building in the Lehenmatt quarter
Migros is renting space in a new replacement building in Basel's Lehenmatt district, which Intershop is constructing by the end of 2024.
The 500 m² Migros supermarket at Lehenmattstrasse 260 had to close at the end of 2022. At the end of 2024, it will return to a new building with almost twice as much space.
According to Intershop, the new replacement building is the next stage in the development of the site following the completion of the extensions and renovation work on the nearby high-rise residential buildings. The plot measures 1,842 square meters, the rental space totals 1,370 square meters, of which 1,018 square meters is for retail, 120 square meters for gastronomy and leisure and 231 square meters for commercial use.
