The municipality of Neuenhof (AG) has now completed the sale of the area around the Villa Ermitage in the Webermühle district, which was decided at the end of 2020. Altura RE from Hergiswil (NW) submitted the best offer in the sales process and was awarded the contract, according to the municipality. The sale price amounts to CHF 15 million.
A condition of the sale is that the Art Nouveau villa from 1901 must be preserved in principle, and the municipality must also participate in the development planning. A further condition is that construction must begin by December 31, 2029, otherwise the municipal council can buy back the plots at a reduced price.
The building and usage regulations provide for a redensification of the area, and it is even conceivable that several high-rise buildings could be built on the plots. There are already four high-rise buildings with up to twelve storeys in the Webermühle.
A design plan is to be developed by the end of 2024 and the first stages of this will then be implemented, the municipality has announced. (ah)
