Thun: Hall 6, a listed building, is being converted for new use
Hall 6 on Scheibenstrasse in Thun is to house coworking, events and restaurants in future. Conversion work will start in the fall.

Selvewerke AG, the new tenant, has big plans for the listed Hall 6 on Scheibenstrasse in Thun: The property is to become an "intergenerational meeting place for the Thun region with national appeal" that "promotes the development of innovation and exchange between culture, crafts, education, business and the general public". A variety of uses are planned with a combination of manufacturing/education, coworking, events and gastronomy.
Before the new concept can be launched in spring 2024, the city of Thun will renovate and refurbish Hall 6 from this fall for an estimated CHF 2.5 million. According to the city, the work will include replacing skylights on the roof and optimizing the distribution of the ventilation heating. The southern pitched roof facing Scheibenstrasse will be fitted with a photovoltaic system. The tenant fit-out will be carried out by Selvewerke AG. (ah)
