Rotkreuz: Chäsimatt district takes shape
More than a hundred apartments, a hotel, various restaurants and retail space are being built near Rotkreuz station.

The development of the Chäsimatt site near the train station in Rotkreuz (ZG) is progressing, albeit more slowly than initially planned. The site development by Rotkreuzhof Immobilien AG was originally due to be ready for occupation in fall 2023. However, completion has now been delayed until next spring, partly due to a lack of materials and a shortage of specialists in the planning offices, according to a representative of the client. the Zug Newspaper said.
The development comprises 126 rental apartments, a hotel with 24 rooms and six suites as well as various catering, retail and service areas. According to the developer, all apartments and almost all commercial space have already been let. The new quarter will include a coworking space, a health center, a brewery, a veterinary practice, a cheese store, a daycare center and creative studios. Landi, which used to occupy the Chäsi building, will open a new 2,000 m store. The Chäsi building is being restored and will in future house a coffee roastery, an escape room and an ice cream parlor. The development also includes an underground parking garage with 280 parking spaces. (ah)
