Locarno: Dorint to open its fifth Swiss hotel in 2024

The hotel operator Dorint has concluded a long-term lease agreement with Motalbano Immobiliare for a hotel in Locarno.

The German hotel chain Dorint plans to open a new hotel in Ticino at the end of summer 2024. Construction of the fifth Swiss hotel with 82 rooms and suites as well as a restaurant and spa area in Riazzino/Lavertezzo near Locarno is proceeding according to plan, the Cologne-based company announced. It is aimed at both holidaymakers and business people and has spacious conference and event rooms. A long-term lease agreement has reportedly been concluded with the owner, Montalbano Immobiliare SA, owned by the Quadroni family.

Dorint currently operates 60 hotels internationally. In Switzerland, the chain is represented in Beatenberg, Basel, at Zurich Airport and, from April 2024, also in Interlaken. (aw)
