A new replacement building and eight new buildings are being constructed on the Scholer site in Lausen. These include rental apartments and a retirement home. The opening is planned for fall 2025. HRS is the total contractor for the project. The building owners are the UBS fund Anfos, Mobimo AG and the Scholer community of heirs. The foundation stone was laid recently.

The development concept envisages the preservation of the Villa Scholer on the main road, the existing farm building will be retained in its volumetry and integrated into the new development together with an adjoining residential section. A new three-storey building will be constructed to the east, with a timber-framed building along the tracks. With the exception of the aforementioned extension, all buildings are four storeys high. The retirement center is being built on Hauptstrasse, while the other buildings will also provide space for assisted living.

The designs were created by Otto Partner Architekten AG from Liestal. The floor area of the project is around 21,600 square meters and the total costs, according to earlier information, are CHF 65 million. In its annual report in May, Anfos stated the costs for its part of the project at CHF 44 million (IB reported). (aw)
