Zermatt: SHP takes over five properties

The Aevis subsidiary Swiss Hotels Properties is expanding its portfolio with five properties around the Hotel Mont Cervin Palace.

Swiss Hotels Properties (SHP), the Aevis Victoria subsidiary specializing in hotel infrastructure, is acquiring five properties around the luxury hotel Mont Cervin Palace in Zermatt. According to Aevis, these are well-maintained residential and commercial properties in very good locations with a total rental area of 9,841 square meters. The plots total 10,425 square meters and are adjacent to SHP's existing properties.

SHP has owned the Mont Cervin Palace, Petit Cervin, Schweizerhof and Monte Rosa hotels in the center of Zermatt, which are operated by Michel Reybier Hospitality, since 2020. According to the company, this makes it the largest owner of hotel properties in Zermatt.

This acquisition will increase the value of Aevis' hotel properties by just over CHF 50 million to CHF 825.9 million. According to the information provided, the annual rental income amounts to CHF 26.8 million and the debt ratio is below 50%. (ah)
