Zurich: New "Wydäcker" development nearing completion
The new "Wydäcker" development with 183 apartments and 475 square meters of office and commercial space is being built in Zurich-Albisrieden. The first apartments will be ready for occupancy in November 2023.
The "Wydäcker" development is located directly below the Uetliberg. The four new houses are arranged around a green inner courtyard and include apartments ranging in size from studios to 5.5-room apartments. All apartments have a loggia or terrace. The site development is being realized by HIG Immobilien Anlage Stiftung together with Credit Suisse Investment Foundation.
The building was constructed in accordance with the "Greenproperty Gold" and "Minergie P" standards. The "Greenproperty" label developed by CS takes particular account of the reduction of gray energy in the materials used. According to HIG, the floor plans were based on the "enfilade" principle: The directly opposite doors of several adjoining rooms are intended to convey a generous feeling of space when open. (aw)
