Steiner AG recently presented the basic project and design plan for the "Unter Erlen" residential development in Wollerau (SZ). On the slope above the SOB railway line and Altenbachstrasse, 13 buildings with 62 apartments are to be built to the Minergie standard for the Seraina Investment Foundation. The construction costs are estimated at around CHF 50 million. A public planning application is currently underway for the design plan.

The Seraina Investment Foundation, an investment foundation under Swiss law, acquired a large plot of land in the "Unter Erlen" area in Wollerau in 2021. The real estate developer Steiner AG, together with the investment foundation and the Meister family as neighbors in the development perimeter, invited tenders for a study contract for the development of a residential complex. Seven teams of architects and landscape architects were invited.

The project by Nusus Architekten and Studio Vulkan Landschaftsarchitektur was recommended for further development. In collaboration with the spatial planners, Büro Suter von Känel Wild, a project was developed that envisages 13 residential buildings with 62 apartments to Minergie standard. The indicative project includes apartments with 2.5 to 5.5 rooms as well as green spaces, terraced gardens and a play area. "The typology of protruding terraced houses and staggered buildings allows all apartments to enjoy an impressive view of Lake Zurich," writes Steiner AG.

Start of construction in 2028 at the earliest

The public planning application for the "Unter Erlen" design plan has been underway in the municipality of Wollerau since October 6, 2023. The landowners, developers and planners hope to be able to start construction of the buildings and apartments in 2028. (aw)
