Landquart: Quantus buys production property
The headquarters of sensor specialist Cedes in Landquart is being sold to Quantus in a sale and rentback transaction.

Quantus has acquired the headquarters of Cedes in Landquart. At the same time, the technology company has reportedly signed a 15-year lease for the continued use of the entire building complex. The Cedes Group specializes in sensors for elevators, escalators, industrial doors and warehouse automation and employs 400 people worldwide.
The architecturally striking building comprises over 10,000 square meters of production and logistics space, over 2,000 square meters of office space as well as 62 underground parking spaces and 121 outdoor parking spaces. According to Quantus, the production areas are suitable for companies operating in the high-tech sector.
"Higher risk-adjusted returns than with residential"
"By investing in commercial real estate, we can generate higher risk-adjusted returns for our investors than with investments in residential real estate," says Katharina Reimann, CIO and responsible for transaction management at Quantus. Investments in commercial properties offer protection against inflation because the rents are indexed. In addition, restrictive building and traffic regulations for commercially used properties as well as limited land reserves lead to restrictions in the supply of production space for technology companies, which will lead to increases in value in the medium and long term.
