Lucerne: Atlas Foundation acquires land near Villa Himmelrich
Among other things, the charitable foundation plans to build a retirement home and rental apartments.
The Atlas Foundation has acquired various plots of land around the Villa Himmelrich in Lucerne. They are located between Bundesstrasse, Himmelrichstrasse, Moosstrasse and Obergrundstrasse, according to the charitable foundation.
The Atlas Foundation is planning to redevelop the site, although the historic villa and park will remain. According to the foundation, the plan is to build apartments "for the urban population from the third stage of life". There will also be space for restaurants, businesses and services as well as additional rental apartments.
According to the Atlas Foundation, the architectural concept will be designed to create a gentle connection from the new development via the park to Villa Himmelrich. The development is due to be completed by 2030. (ah)
