Allschwil: Change of hands for Main Campus HQ
The Turidomus real estate investment foundation also purchased the second stage "Main Campus HQ" in Allschwil (BL) on January 1, 2024.
Since 2022, Switzerland's largest life science hub has been under construction just outside Basel in the Bachgraben area in Allschwil. In addition to the Swiss TPH, the Main Campus main building was completed almost a year ago, an office and laboratory building with around 50,000 square meters of floor space developed by the St. Gallen-based company Senn with architects Herzog & de Meuron.
Tenants in the "Main Campus HQ" include the Switzerland Innovation Park Basel Area, Basilea, Actelion/Johnson & Johnson, the Department of Biomedical Engineering at the University of Basel, SKAN, Arcondis, Brightpeak and T3.
"Europe's largest life science hub is currently being built in Allschwil. The Main Camous HQ is located right at the heart of this area," says Michel Schneider, Deputy CEO of Pensimo Management AG, which is responsible for managing the Turidomus investment foundation. For Johannes Eisenhut, Managing Director of Senn Development AG, the building offers an "ideal breeding ground for innovation and many opportunities for exchange."
With the acquisition of the second stage, Turidomus Anlagestiftung, which already acquired the somewhat smaller first stage on January 1, 2023, now owns the entire complex. (bw)
