Stans/Ennetbürgen: Initial plans for the Nidwalden Airpark
At the end of 2023, Ruag Real Estate sold Pilatus Flugzeugwerke AG part of its site in Stans and Ennetbürgen.
A first project is soon to be realized on the site of the Nidwalden Airpark in Stans and Ennetbürgen. Pilatus Flugzeugwerke AG bought part of the site from Ruag Real Estate at the end of November 2023 in order to develop a new company project there. According to the Luzerner Zeitung, Pilatus is initially planning to build a new hangar.
The site covers almost 56,000 square meters and is located in the east of the Nidwalden Airpark. It includes the site of the Wetterhorn Pilatus hangar and the Cockpit restaurant.
The idea of turning the land between Stans and Ennetbürgen into an aviation-oriented industrial park has been on the Ruag technology group's agenda for over ten years. The design plan envisages seven possible building plots for the entire site. (ah)
