Basel: Limehome rents for 20 years on Münzgasse
The digitalized Limehome chain, which focuses on long-term stays, is continuing operations in a former traditional hotel.
The hospitality provider Limehome, which is primarily represented in Germany, has concluded a rental agreement for the hotel space at Münzgasse 12 in Basel for the next 20 years. This was announced by the owner of the property, Gates Hôteliers & Restaurateurs SA. "Limehome is the leading technology-based provider and operator of fully digitalized design hospitality concepts in Europe," it writes in a press release. The chain offers fully equipped suites for both short and longer stays and has almost 250 locations in Europe.
The new space in Basel is now being renovated and is scheduled to open at the end of the second quarter. The search for a successor business for the former "Sperber" restaurant is now underway for further first floor use. The remaining space on the first floor of the former brasserie is to be put to a new use.
The contract was concluded under the management of Gold Tree Asset Management AG, which was advised by Horwath HTL and the lawyers Bratschi AG. The owner is being supported by Monoplan AG for the design and implementation of the planning.
Until recently, the traditional "Hotel Basel" was located at Münzgasse 12. It had to close down due to economic difficulties (IB reported). (aw)
