Vernier: HRS builds cultural complex with student apartments and hotel
The "Concorde Espace" cultural center will comprise 220 residential units and 46 hotel rooms and cost CHF 115 million.
HRS and the Fondation pour le Développement des Arts et de la Culture (Fodac) have just signed the total contractor agreement for the construction of two buildings in Vernier (GE). The major "Concorde Espace" project comprises the construction of a cultural center and apartments for students.
The cultural center will have an event hall with 492 seats on retractable stands and 920 standing places. It will be connected to the 220 student apartments, which will form the second building, via a pedestrian bridge.
The complex will also house a hotel with 46 rooms, a coworking area, a brasserie and a catering service.
According to the initiators' project website, the costs for the entire project are estimated at CHF 115 million. Estimated. (aw)
