Fribourg: Quantus buys bank building

Quantus sees the purchase as proof that private investors are once again more interested in real estate.

Quantus has acquired a historic bank building in Freiburg as part of a private market transaction. Bank CIC is leasing the entire building for at least ten years. The lease is indexed, and as the property is located in a core urban zone, it has a high degree of third-party usability, as Quantus writes in a press release. "After institutional investors dominated the Swiss real estate acquisition market until key interest rates were raised in June 2022, private investors have since been able to acquire high-quality properties at attractive prices again," says Quantus CIO Katharina Reimann.

The property is located at 11 Rue de Morat and the seller was represented in the transaction by real estate consultancy CBRE. (aw)
