Wetzikon: First construction phase of the "Metropol" completed
The UBS Sima fund will add 67 apartments and 2,500 square meters of commercial space.
In fall 2021, UBS "Sima" acquired the "Metropol" in Wetzikon, with an investment volume of around CHF 138 million. The new building project is centrally located between Bahnhofstrasse and Tödistrasse. As UBS has now announced, the first stage with 67 apartments and around 2,500 square meters of commercial space was completed in May. All of the apartments and commercial space have already been let. The building has a Minergie certificate and a Biodiversity Plus certificate.
Work on the second stage has already started and is expected to be completed in fall 2025, the fund announced. "Here, too, there is already demand for additional rental space, which confirms that we have developed a product that meets demand and is well positioned." (aw)
